Story Idea: Water & Watch It!

- Bring in a bottle or cup of water and show it to the kids, ask:

- What is it? (Water)

- What do we use it for? (Drinking, washing things etc.)

- Is it important for us to drink water? (Yes)

- Why? (We need it to live)

- How important is it to drink water? (Vital - we need it!)

Explain to the kids that the Bible uses water to tell us about something else that we really need to live!

Knowing Jesus is essential for life as water - by knowing and trusting Jesus we get eternal life!

John 4:14 - But no one who drinks the water I give will ever be thirsty again. The water I give is like a flowing fountain that gives eternal life.

Game Idea: Water Drop Hunt

- Before the lesson, download and print the water drop template on blue paper and cut out the water droplets and hide them all around the play area

- Have the kids go on a 'water hunt' to find as much drops of water as they can!

Remind them that we always need to go and get water to drink, but when we know Jesus - He gives us life with Him that lasts forever!

Craft Idea: Water Bucket Craft

Before the Lesson:

- Gather paper cups, pipe cleaners, blue cellophane or tissue paper, glue, and either colouring pencils or paint supplies (paint, little bowls, sponges, brushes and tablecloth) from the cupboard

- Download and print the bucket Bible verses onto coloured paper and cut out the rectangles

- Cut a few pipe cleaners in half (each child will need one half length)

- Punch a hole in either side of the top of each cup (one cup per child)

Have the kids:

- Decorate their cup using either coloured pencils or paint

- Attach a half pipe cleaner to the punched holes to form a handle

- Glue their Bible verse to the side of their bucket

- Fill the bucket with scrunched up blue cellophane or tissue paper to make the water

Remind the kids that Jesus is the Saviour of the world - He gives us life forever with Him!

Prayer Idea: Thank-you Dice

- Use the prayer dice from the cupboard with the thank-you picture inserts

- Have the kids go around the circle, roll the dice and thank God for the thing that shows up on top
